This Arduino-Compatible UNO R3 development board has most of the features of the original Uno with the added benefit of an ISP header. It is assembled with the CH340 USB to Serial converter chip, instead of using an Atmega16U2 chip. it has USB-B connector for easier interconnection.
The UNO can be programmed over a USB-B cable using the Arduino IDE: Just plug in the board, select “Arduino UNO” from the board menu and select allocated com port than you are ready to upload sketches. You can power the UNO Board over USB or through the barrel jack. The on-board power regulator can handle any input voltage on the barrel jack from 7 to 24 Vdc.
Arduino Uno R3 is the clone one of the latest version of Arduino Uno with an on-board CH340 usb – serial converter chip. Even there are some little differences respect to original one, it is almost the same in terms of usage and software. This provides you a cheaper opportunitiy to get started with Arduino boards.
We have used plenty of these low-cost Arduino boards with CH340 chips, and have found them to work perfectly. The only time the CH340 chip is used is during programming and when using the serial output of the USB port. During normal operation, this board is identical to the more expensive version without CH340 chip.
