NTC 5K SMD Thermistor – 0603 PACKAGE

NTC thermistors are resistors with a negative temperature coefficient, which means that the resistance decreases with increasing temperature. They are primarily used as resistive temperature sensors and current-limiting devices.

PTC thermistors are used when you want to increase the resistance offered with an increase in temperature. NTC is used when you want to reduce the resistance for an increase in temperature. PTC thermistors are used as resettable fuses in circuits.
